Objectives
To Establish a financial control function across the EMEA region of the Group to aid better financial control and the reduction in the reporting of financial results.
Task
The task consisted of:
- Establishing a new group finance function.
- Recruiting staff for the new control function.
- The introduction of new processes and procedures along with the change of the routing of budgets, forecasts and financial results of 213 offices in 42 countries through the new EMEA controller’s office.
Result
- We achieved targeted standards for high quality management information in terms of completeness, accuracy and timeliness.
- The production of the annual planning and monthly/quarterly variance reports within the Group’s expected timescales.
- Data proved a reliable early warning system and firm basis for management action to rectify under-performance.
